Who We Are

Picture of SMP Team at Park Club in KalamazooWe, Southern Michigan ParaNormals: Paranormal Investigators (SMP), strive to provide honest and professional investigative services to all accepted cases. As a group, we are dedicated to finding truths and facts. We will present only the facts that meet our strict standard of scrutiny, research, and non-biased examination of data collected during our investigations. We are committed to exposing all frauds as they are discovered as to protect the integrity of the field of paranormal investigation.

Both as a group, and as individuals, we understand the sensitive nature of what we do; discretion is often of great importance. Therefore, we will not release information on an investigation without the express written permission of our clients.

The Southern Michigan ParaNormals are a group of volunteers driven by curiosity, passion and a shared belief that there quite possibly exists a realm outside this physical world. The team comes from all walks of life, religious or spiritual persuasion, backgrounds and career paths.

It is SMPs goal to eventually achieve 501c status and dedicate its findings to historical preservation and awareness. The group is also working toward bringing exposure and legitimacy to a field that in the past has often been associated with eccentrics, sensationalism, and junk science. It is a major hope of the entire team to have all forms of paranormal studies become an accepted field within the scientific community.

To this end, SMP has formed MAAPS: the Mid-American Alliance of Paranormal Societies. MAAPS currently consists of Paranormal Investigation Groups in Bay City, Grand Haven, and Coldwater. SMP also has networks with other groups in and around Michigan, Northern New York, California and the Dakotas. We are also currently fostering a fledgling relationship with the Historic Society in Kalamazoo and do our best to help bring positive public exposure to historic sites that have allowed our group to investigate.
