The SMP team re assembled and returned to this haunted Farm House in Delton Michigan for another visit and to try and get control of the house and to provide some more answers for the owner, due to she was to soon rent the house.
We arrived at approximately 8:00pm est., and began set up of (2) Digital cameras and several digital recorders through out the house. We relied on hand held equipment for this investigation, as our tech Manager was unavailable, and we decided to try a different approach than the last time we had investigated. Our entry to the house and property was immediately met with paranormal activity! I and Investigator “Jon Meyle” entered the front door to the house to set up a night shot camera upstairs, and we heard as we passed the door way, a mans voice very loudly say “HELLO”! We both looked at one another and acknowledged that we both heard it? We then proceeded upstairs and we were joined by “Manny Hernandez” a new investigator on his first training investigation, when he arrived upstairs in the master bedroom for set up he, myself and “Jon” all heard someone walking in the next room?..We called out and no one answered? Upon checking the room I found no one upstairs with us? Again another unexplainable event less than 10 minutes of entering the house. After set up was complete I broke down teams and began the investigation at around 10:00pm est. the first team in explained that they too were having walking and voices from sections of the home were no one was present?, shadows and knocks were also reported. While the teams were busy waiting and taking turns in the home “Jon” and I were working the surrounding property which was quite an area of under brush and a small swamp. We decided to investigate the adjacent hill just north west of the home, there we found and old dumping area which seemed to be used very long ago to dump trash, as some of the bottles and items seemed from the 40’s and 50’s..This of course was our assumption? As “Jon” conducted evp sessions I observed and took Pictures at about the time he spoke of the litter and asked if any natives were present? We began to here movement and I witnessed several times shadows of human figures upon the burm and the hill behind us? Just as I would raise my light or my camera the shadows would be gone!the energy seemed to intensify as we moved up the hill were we were hearing movement it was not yet dark but the sun was setting fast. At this time “Jon” again asked if what or who ever was with us was connected to the House and property was here? I then witnessed a shadow which appeared to me to be in the shape of a man? With outline of a feather on the head? Suddenly crouch down and then move quickly up the hill right in front of us! I then realized there was no sound of movement or brush. We then realized the feeling of being surrounded was prevalent and strong, I suggested we move from the area and back to the house…we thanked the contact for communicating with us and we left. This was a very powerful personal experience for me and it was also very educating at the same time. At the house the team experienced EMF hits and EVP responses that escaped explanation; we tried several times to de bunk some of the experiences but could not. At one point in the evening my wife and several other team members witnessed a woman walk from left to right in front of the house windows facing the group. The group had begun a camp fire with the permission of the owner who now had joined us. I and “Manny Hernandez” decided to investigate the apparition siting and entered the house while the others remained outside…we entered the first floor bedroom and found nothing…upon exiting though I turned to walk out and “Manny” behind me, we both saw a figure directly in front of us!...at that moment “Manny” grabbed my arm and exclaimed”DAN”!...did you see that?..I of course answered...”YES”...just then my wife”EVE” came into the house and asked if we were just in front of the windows?...we were not, she said they all outside saw someone move across the windows again?…. hearing this I stood in the kitchen and turned towards the front room…. I then saw two distinct shadows move across the room from left to right and into the wall!....”Manny” had moved forward and reacted to seeing someone in front of him as he entered the front room….again this was exciting we seemed to have something attention….I then called the group to break at the fire to re group and try to calm things down a bit…at this time Investigator “Randy Waltz”..Asked to go in alone? Normally I never allow this but being that he is retired Navy Seal from Viet nam, I agreed. I asked that he keep is radio on and he call me every 5 minutes…after his first check in he came out and reported that he witnessed a woman walk through out the living room and that he heard talking? In the basement. That was the hot spot for us on the first investigation back in December of 2008. I had the group break into teams of two again and re enter the house, the reports from the teams during the next three hours were of shadows and talking, and sometimes smells of bread, tobacco smoke(pipe), cigar?...at approximately 3:30am we decided to conduct a Hack box session, during the session we had several very straight answers…we asked that the spirits in the home keep to themselves and not bother the family which was to move in and to obey these rules?...or we would be back and have to remove them from the house. We normally do not take this position unless we feel we can have good success with this method, we used it in prior cases in homes and it seemed to calm the activity. During this investigation we used an array of personal equipment, from digital recorders, EMF meters, temp meters, Mel Meter, and digital cameras. The hack box is only used to bridge the scientific equipment to the theoretical equipment in the hopes that it will prove to be a valuable help in these investigations. Between the huge amount of personal experiences and the data gathered by our equipment we concluded the House to be haunted! And very active, the negative energy and responses were just that!.... negative and non harmful we also could qualify the haunting as several past owners just not ready to leave the land and home they worked so hard to build…?? All I all a great investigation with successful results, as the home owner reports no more activity and very quiet for the new renters…
